From cheering on our athletic teams to giving high-fives at college events, Thunder is always in the middle of the action. More than a mascot, Thunder is a local legend in the making.
Thunder鈥檚 Tale
Thunder鈥檚 story is as iconic as the Northern Michigan wilderness. Thunder hails from
the deep forests north of the 45th Parallel, where the air is crisp, the lakes sparkle, and the trees stretch tall.
Raised just a (Petoskey) stone's throw from the crystal-clear waters of Little Traverse
Bay, Thunder developed a knack for rallying the pack 鈥� on the court, in the classroom,
and out in the community. From a young age, Thunder wanted to be part of something
even bigger than the wilderness. When North Central needed a mascot to lead the charge,
it was clear Thunder had the howl and heart for the job.
